Pro rated Charges

Pro-rating will occur when your account is

1. Disconnected
2. Reconnected
3. Change subscription packages.

Pro-rated charges are calculated based on the following:

Pro-rated Charges Formula = (M / D) x N

M: Monthly subscription rate
D: number of days in that particular month
N: Number of days from the beginning of your billing cycle to the day your service is disconnected / package is changed. Or number of days from the day your services is reconnected/package is changed to the end of your billing cycle

Example:
Assuming your billing cycle is 1 (I.e. 1st of every month) and you subscribe to 3 mini packages of Sports, News and Learning. Your monthly subscription rate will amount to RM49.95 and your statement will show the following line

On 10/01, you upgrade your subscription to include the Movie package. There will be two pro-rated lines, refund of unused subscription fee for 3 mini packages from 10/01 to 31/01

a)	Refund of unused subscription fee for 3 mini packages This is done by pro-rating the total monthly amount charged for 3 mini package at RM49.95 from 10/01 – 31/01 (22 days)

Calculation on 3 mini packages
1. Deduction from total charges
(49.95 / 31) * 22 = RM35.45

2. Total charges incurred
49.95 – 35.45 = RM14.50

The total amount payable for 3 mini packages is RM14.50 charged for 9 days from 1/01 to 9/01

b)	Subscription fee charged for Movie and 3 mini packages This is done by pro-rating the total monthly amount charged for Movie + 3 mini package at RM79.95 from 10/01 to 31/01 (22 days)

Calculation for Movie + 3 mini packages
1. Total charges incurred
(79.95 / 31) * 22 = 56.74

The new charges are for 22 days, from 10th to 31st based on the new rate of RM79.95

The details of your next statement will appear as follows

1/02 Basic 3 Mini Mov 10/01/06 – 31/01/06 56.74
1/02 Basic 3 Mini Mov 1/02/06 – 28/02/06 79.95
