"Shanghai Rush" is a 12-episode reality TV series which involves comprehensive cultural experiences of the metropolis of Shanghai. 10 teams of 20 foreigners will race across 11 districts all over the Shanghai city, which includes Pudong, Jiading, Songjiang, Yangpu, Changning, Hongkou, Qingpu, Minhang, Xuhui, Luwan, and Huangpu. Each episode will eliminate 1 group of 2 people. The show not only contains fun games, intensive competitions and exciting adventures, but also explores the unique Shanghai from geographical, historical and cultural prospective.

"Shanghai Rush" successfully combines the format of reality TV show with Shanghai´s local elements. It is the first Chinese reality TV show that features a mainly foreign cast. Meanwhile, it aims to fully reflect a unique combination of contemporary and traditional Shanghai. Excitement, tension, humor, fascinating sceneries, mysterious ancient tales... 12集大型文化体验真人秀栏目《冲刺!上海》（Shanghai Rush）。该栏目是一个以外籍人士参与为主的大型户外真人秀节目，被选中的10队选手（20名）将采用末位淘汰的方式在上海的浦东、嘉定、松江、杨浦、长宁、虹口、青浦、闵行、徐汇、卢湾、黄浦十一个区县进行竞赛。每集都将以融入了上海人文景观、民俗风情的实地竞赛或冒险游戏为主，从而以其独特的方式为人们展示出上海这一国际化大都市的亮丽风采。

采用国际上流行的真人竞技节目形式，结合上海本土的文化经济特点，融合各区县特有的民俗文化元素，以扣人心弦的实地竞赛和冒险类游戏，特别是极富上海地域特色的弄堂游戏等为主要的表现手段，通过选手在各个设置环节中综合能力的竞技，全面体现上海的人文、自然资源和文化历史魅力，从而以真实而富有感染力的镜头，提升上海文化历史资源的国际知名度，推动上海这座城市深度国际化的进程，展现出上海这座城市无所不在的神奇魅力。
